A-2 Transfer Printer THT-BP Precision
Prelimininary Tests
The media width and height given in the Technical Specifications are suggested
values for media when using the present sensor :
Label Width : 1 to 4.6 in (25-116 mm)
Label Height : .5 to 7.9 in (12-200 mm)
CAUTION !
When using different media from the specifications, for example
- media which is smaller than the specifications above,
- very thin media,
- very thick silicon liner,
- media with aggressive adhesive,
- transparent media
it is recommended to test the media before !
The print speed in the peel-off mode is limited to maximum 4 ips (100mm/s).
This limitation guarantees a correct operation in the dispense mode when using
maximum supply rolls (diameter 7.9in/200mm, width 4.7in/120mm).
When using supply rolls with a small outside diameter it is possible to increase
the print speed during on-demand labelling. For that purpose the speed
limitation has to switch off. Then the print speed can be set on all possibilities
until 8 ips (200mm/s) for BP Precision 200P or until 6 ips (150mm/s) for
BP Precision 300P.
CAUTION !
When operating the BP Precision 200P/300P with higher speed it is
strongly recommended to carry out preliminary tests using the
appropriate maximum rolls !
Present Sensors
Two different types of present sensors are offered :
Present Sensor PS8 : The see-through sensor indicates the label in the
peel-off position and stopps the print job.
After removing of the label, the next one is printed.
Present Sensor PS6 : The indication of the label in the peel-off position is also
done via see-through sensor. With an additional
peripheral interface the peel-off process can be
controlled by an external application.
Detailed information about the present sensors can be found in the concerning
Operator's Manuals.
