Cutting Out Objects or Documents

Cutting Out Graphics and Shapes
You can select pre-cut graphics from the library, or you can apply a cut
HotShape around imported graphics and draw objects. The following
sections explain how to cut out graphics from both the library and
imported sources, as well as cut out shapes in your output.
Hint! To avoid wasting ribbon supply, set the Printer color setting to
Monochrome or Spot Color. For more information on setting
the Printer color setting, see Chapter 13: Printing.
Selecting pre-cut graphics from the library
The library contains the following three types of graphics.
z
Print only: Displays the graphics that are set to print but not cut.
You can still cut out a print only object by placing a shape or frame
around the graphics and assigning the cutting option.
z
Cut only: Displays the graphics are set up to be cut but not print.
z
Print and Cut: Displays the graphics that can be both print and cut
around the outside contour of the graphic.
